yall.
Here are some of the tracks I've been dropping around Boston.

Que is essentially Slovakia's answer to all of the bullshit electro that has been filtering through der bloghaussphere lately. This has a fucking killer 808 synth drop; I can't get enough of it.
Que - "Let's Go To My Place"

This guy is probably my favorite. Those zany Japs are always up to something. Check out this batshit crazy disco-clash-electro-funtime-dance-party-USA stuff from Ridé. Reverse-vocals, beatmashing, discolines? OK, sure, whatever you say dude.

Don Diablo looks like a Euro-bro that I could probably chill with - the kind that I can drink a few Heinekens with while we talked about our favorite "barber spa" or something. Despite the fact he takes this hooligan disco thing too seriously, I think he's doing it right. Check it out:

Can't get enough of this upbeat, swirling electro frenziness in Japan right now. Talk about doin it right.
I'm not a huge fan of the Ting Tings whatsoever, but I simply can't ignore this remix. Taku Takahashi fucking kills it, brodudes. I know that absolutely nobody else you know has this joint because it's absolutely fucking impossible to find. So, let me fix that:
If you're looking for something a bit more relaxed, yet still impeccably produced:
Lastly, I give you my personal favorite, Cherryboy Function:
Cherryboy Function is a Japanese DJ who takes it straight to the floor with authority. This is a far cry from the minimal techno dominating the conversation right now in the club scene; robust and complicated in construction, but somehow still completely accessible. There's an experimental slant to these songs' constructions that elevates these songs past traditional club music. Challenging in construction, but delightful in result, this record should be a wake up call for DJ's spinning the same old house records.
I highly recommend checking out this clip:

This was meant to be. Jeppe (1/2 Junior Senior) teams up with Classixx to produce this absolutely killer track. I had a friend send me this out of the blue - it's not scheduled to be released for at least another six months. Does that make this a 2008 or 2009 exclusive? Does this still count since it's the Royal Rumble remix (TIP: It's not even on their MySpace yet)? Do you authentically like bass? So many questions.
Classixx ft. Jeppe - I'll Get U (Royal Rumble Edit)
All of the (now-defunct) Junior Senior talk got me wondering - what the fuck is the other guy up to? Apparently, he signed to Kitsune and is producing things like this:
I don't know how I've let all of this slip under the radar. I also don't know why I've been keeping such a fervent tab on DE DE MOUSE remixes.

Today I realized that other countries in the BLOGHAUSSPHERE are doin it right, and so weren't Hercules and Love Affair last night at the Middle East downstairs. My bestie Knight of 77 was also there and managed to get a few words in with them. I'm sure he'll talk about it later.
Australia are doin it right. The aforementioned Empire of the Sun (www.myspace.com/empireofthesunsound) has been eerily infectious this week:
Fellow Aussie Jimmy2Sox (http://www.myspace.com/jimmy2sox) got this playing in my head for a few hours. It's a fluid vibe with vocals that are wonderfully drenched in reverb.

And while we're on Japan, let me talk about DE DE MOUSE (http://www.myspace.com/dedemouse) as being totally batshit insane. It's an entire field of poppy being beatmashed too fast and holy shit what am I watching:
Sweden currently has this beach party throwback vibe going on. I could write about it all night. A good place to start is with the ever-so subversive The Tough Alliance (www.thetoughalliance.com) from my homietown Gothenburg. Swinging bats onstage yeah?
So is America doin it right? Not really, but France is:
